IMPORTANT NOTE: This form should be completed for ALL events associated with SMC even if the event is off campus and does not require a reservation of SMC facilities. Documenting all events associated with SMC will help provide better support from our staff in assisting visitors looking for an event and allow for Maintenance and Security to be aware of all events associates with SMC in the event of an emergency.

If any audio-visual or computer support is needed, facilities must be reserved at least seven calendar days in advance. If rooms are not reserved at least seven calendar days in advance, support will not be available.

DO NOT USE THIS FORM FOR REQUESTS FROM THIRD PARTIES TO RENT OR USE SMC FACILITIES. ALL requests from third parties must be directed to Andrea Swartz, Administrative Assistant to the Director of Building and Grounds at Ext. 1383 for processing.

REMINDER: Per Board Policy, no alcoholic beverages are allowed on the campus of Southwestern Michigan College except for College authorized functions for which the President of the College or his Vice President designee is responsible and in attendance. If you plan on serving alcoholic beverages at your event, it is your responsibility to contact the Chief of Staff at 269-782-1276. For complete details, see Board Policy 1.3 - Alcoholic Beverages.

Event Type *

Selections of ACAD, ALUM, FINE, PERF, RECR, EXCL, NURS, HOLI, or OTHR trigger the sending of an email to the maintainer of the Google Event Calendar.

You have chosen OTHR -- All Other Events. The OTHR - All Other Events Event Type should only be chosen if none of the other event types apply.

Please review the available event types again to make sure that your event does not fit under one of the more specific categories. These categories are designed to help narrow a person's search for a specific event and if all events are coded as OTHR, it deminishes the value of displaying categories at all.

Audience Selection: Your choice under the Audience field will determine where your event will be displayed online and what target audience will be able to view your event.

Employee Event Calendar (tab in SMC Wired): Displays all events targeted to EMP (employee), STU (student) or PUBEVENT (public).
Public Website Calendar: Displays those events with a target audience of STU or PUBEVENT.
